What is the Speakers' Bureau?

The Corwin Speakers' Bureau presents the most highly respected authors writing for education professionals and helps connect you with the right speaker for your next event. Representing a wide range of presenters, the Corwin Speakers' Bureau is your source for keynote speakers, workshop leaders, specialists for districtwide or site-based training, or train-the-trainer sessions for your professional development staff.

Corwin speakers customize their presentation to your selected audience and your specific objectives. Corwin sales managers assist you by checking for speakers' availability and offering discounts on the presenter’s books. In other words, we do the upfront work, so you won’t have to! The Corwin Speakers' Bureau works as your point of contact to save you time and money.

How do I book a presenter?

Call Monique Corridori at (805) 410-7175, Monday through Friday, 9-5pm, Pacific Standard Time or email SpeakersBureau@Corwin.com. Monique will evaluate your needs for the event and respond as soon as possible with confirmation about the requested author's availability.

How early should I book?

We advise booking 6-18 months in advance. The earlier the better—our authors' calendars fill up very quickly. Details regarding the event are worked out directly between you and the author, e.g., topic, date, location, speaking fees, and expenses.

What if the author is not available?

If the author is not available on the date requested, the sales manager will recommend one who is certified and well-trained in the topic you have chosen. Please provide a second and third choice for presenters in the event that your first selection is unavailable.

What are my next steps?

Once you and the author confirm the details for the event, the sales manager will work with you to find the most appropriate products for your event. The sales manager will provide you with a quote based on the number of products requested for purchase. This will include any bulk discounts for which you may be eligible. Please be sure to confirm your product purchases for the event with the sales manager.

Help ensure a successful event! Here are the basic essentials:

  • Provide the estimated number of participants
  • Hold the presentation on the date agreed upon with the author—typically confirmed by a signed agreement worked out between you and the author
  • Be willing to provide a sound system (CD/AV player if needed) and good seating for the participants
