Lynn Erickson is a recognized presenter at national conferences in the areas of concept-based curriculum design, teaching for deep understanding, and standards alignment. ASCD and TeachStream have produced videos based on her work with teachers.

Erickson is a private consultant who has worked extensively with K–12 teachers and administrators internationally on the design of classroom and district-level curricula aligned to academic standards.

Corwin Press has published three bestselling books by Erickson: Stirring the Head, Heart, and Soul: Redefining Curriculum, Instruction, and Concept-Based Learning (Third Edition, 2008); Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction for the Thinking Classroom (2007); and Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction: Teaching Beyond the Facts (2002). Corwin published a Facilitator's Guide to the third edition of Stirring the Head, Heart, and Soul in late 2008.

Erickson has worked as a teacher, principal, curriculum director, adjunct professor, and educational consultant over a 40-year career. She has masters and doctorate degrees in curriculum and instruction and school administration.
