About the Speaker

Richard W. Strong is vice president of Silver Strong & Associates and Thoughtful Education Press. A former teacher on the elementary and secondary levels, he has served as a trainer/consultant for ASCD and for numerous school districts, teacher and professional organizations, and state departments of education. In addition, he has been a leader in the movement for authentic assessment. He is a former district-level coordinator for gifted and talented education and a prolific writer on many topics in education. Strong is known for his unique presentation style and his ability to engage and inform audiences.
