Thomas S. C. Farrell is a professor and the graduate program director in the department of applied linguistics at Brock University. He has over 28 years of teaching experience at all levels, including high school and university. His professional interests include reflective teaching, language teacher education and development, and teacher beliefs and language teaching methodology. Farrell has published widely in such journals as English Teaching Forum, Modern English Teacher, Reading in a Foreign Language, and Asian Journal of English Teaching. His books include Succeeding With English Language Learners (Corwin Press, 2005), Reflective Practice in Action (Corwin Press, 2003), and Reflecting on Classroom Communication in Asia.
