About the Speaker

Sharon F. Cramer is a distinguished service professor at Buffalo State College, where she has been a member of the exceptional education faculty since 1985. Her prior experience includes chairing the exceptional educational department and leadership roles in state and national professional organizations, including serving as president of the New York State Federation of the Council for Exceptional Children, and publications chair of the Division of Developmental Disabilities, 1997-2001. In 2003, she received the Burton Blatt Humanitarian Award from the Division of Developmental Disabilities of the Council for Exceptional Children. Her publications include The Special Educator's Guide to Collaboration (Corwin Press, 2006), which is a second edition of Collaboration: A Success Strategy for Special Educators (Allyn & Bacon, 1998). Cramer has given over 100 presentations and keynotes in 20 states and Canada. She completed her PhD studies at New York University, and earned an MAT. degree from Harvard University, and a BA from Tufts University. She is listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in American Education.
