About the Speaker

Sally Berman is an experienced, creative facilitator of interactive workshops in which educators learn how to create classrooms where their students develop teamwork, cognition, metacognition, and self-evaluation skills. Berman developed and tested many of her ideas during 30 years of science teaching at a large high school in the Chicago suburbs. Berman has an A.B. in chemistry and mathematics and an M.S. in chemical education. She has worked with a number of outstanding educators and theorists, including James Bellanca, David and Roger Johnson, David Lazear, and Robin Fogarty. Berman later created and led workshops and graduate courses for a variety of clients and has worked with educators and industrial trainers from the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Britain, Eastern Europe, and Australia.
