About the Speaker
Patricia Dischler is a nationally recognized speaker for early childhood conferences and child care trainings, presenting inspiring and uplifting keynotes and presentations filled with real-life stories from her 20 years of experience in the field. She is the author of several books, including Teaching the 3 Cs: Creativity, Curiosity & Courtesy, From Babysitter to Business Owner, and Because I Loved You. She also has a children’s book, The Patty Cake Kids & The Lost Imagination Cap. As an expert in early childhood education and adoption, she has presented hundreds of trainings to professionals in these fields and has founded KIDBIZ ResourcesTM, which provides training materials to administrators, directors, and Resource & Referral agencies. She is also a columnist for the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) National Perspective and Adoption Today Magazine. Dischler is a board member of the NAFCC, serving as Secretary on the Executive Committee; a board member of the Wisconsin Family Child Care Association and the Wisconsin Early Learning Coalition; and was the recipient of the 2007 Wisconsin Governor’s Award for excellence in the field of child care.
